🏐This session is to initially give you a taster of netball and our league.
🏐We don't have trials, if you want to continue and go on to our refresher you can!
🏐Some of you who are more experienced and 'match ready' will usually be offered a place in to an existing team if available.
🏐Please arrive 10 mins early so that we can go through a few H&S and housekeeping things.
🏐Please bring water and wear comfortable workout clothing and trainers with good grip. - layers are best so you can remove as you warm-up
🏐The session is £7 pre-paid through your registration
🏐🙃We promise you'll have fun and that there really are many other ladies in exactly the same position as you !
⛹🏾♀️We'll play friendly games where we will coach whilst you play, Stopping the game when we need to explain what happened.
We find this is a great way to learn the rules as you are putting them into action - people forget where they are allowed so it is expected!! You'll have most of it after a few weeks so don’t worry too much!! Please let me know if you would like to come down -even if you just want to watch and see what all the fuss is about! If it helps with your nerves.
VERY IMPORTANT
We want everyone to enjoy netball and that means keeping us all as safe as possible therefore there are some deal breakers in terms of being netball ready.
Fingernails MUST be short! NO acrylics, it's for your own safety and everyone else’s ALL Jewellery, earrings, and any piercings should be removed, preferably at home, they are less likely to get lost then. Please see our rules for more information on this.
The only exception to this, Flexiplast inserts which sit flush to the skin on the ear cartilage parts only, you will then need to tape these and wear a headband to cover and protect them. Medical alert flat bracelets and religious/cultural flat jewellery- these will still need to be taped flat to the skin and an additional covering worn.
