Netball Nights – Player Guidelines

Jewellery & Accessories

✅ Allowed:

A plain wedding band or a flat religious/medical bracelet may be worn but must be taped and covered.

🚫 Not Allowed:

All other jewellery, including fitness trackers, watches, and piercings, must be removed before play.
Nose hoops or piercings are strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
Cartilage ear piercings that cannot be removed must be replaced with a flexiplast bar, which must be taped with micropore (players must provide their own tape).

Nails & Hair

Nails must be short (no more than 1mm long), smooth, and no acrylics are permitted.
No exceptions will be made to this rule.
Long hair must be tied up to prevent interference during play.

Clothing & Footwear

Players should wear comfortable, non-restrictive sportswear.
Layers are recommended, especially for outdoor matches.
Netball trainers or trainers with good grip are advised.
No hooded clothing is allowed for safety reasons.

Gloves

Gloves are not normally permitted in Netball.
In extreme weather or for medical reasons, gloves may be worn under the following conditions:
- A medical certificate must be provided if gloves are required for medical reasons.
- The player must ensure they have appropriate personal liability insurance.
- Gloves must be thin, plain, and made of soft leather or microfibre (e.g. Neoprene).
- They must not have seams, zippers, Velcro, metallic, or plastic fasteners.
- Umpires will check that gloves do not present a hazard and that fingernails remain short and smooth.

Weather Policy

Match cancellation decisions will be made by 5 PM on game day.
Captains will be contacted directly, and updates will be posted in the Facebook group.
Rain does not automatically cancel matches – games will continue unless conditions become unsafe. Players should adjust their pace to court conditions.
If weather worsens after a match has started, umpires will assess safety and may suspend play if necessary.

📢 Unless you are contacted, assume matches are going ahead. Please do not message us about weather updates—we actively monitor conditions and communicate any changes.

Payments & Fees

💳 Cashless Payments Only

All payments must be made via online transfer or our booking system.
Once a team fee is paid, no refunds are available for injuries or unavailability.
Players pay a portion of the total team fee—individual refunds must be arranged within the team.

⏳ Payment Terms

Weekly payments are not accepted – fees must be paid in advance for each section of your netball season.

💰 Discounts

A 12.5% discount applies per season if you play in 2 or more leagues as a core member.
The discount is calculated as an equal share of the total team cost among all registered players.
PAYG (Pay As You Go) players are not eligible for discounts.
