Jewellery

Only a plain wedding band or religious/medical flat bracelet may be worn whilst playing but must be taped and covered.

All other jewellery including fitness trackers, watches and any piercings must be removed.

ONLY cartilage ear piercings that cannot be removed easily, must be changed for a flexiplast bar.

These will still need to be taped with micropore that you will need to provide yourself.

Nose hoops or piercings will not be allowed. This is for your own safety.

Nails and Hair

Nails must be short (no more than 1mm long and should not be seen from the underside of the finger), smooth and no acrylics.

There are no exceptions to this.

Long Hair must be tied up

Clothing

Please wear appropriate sportswear to play in - Comfortable and not restrictive.

Layers are best, we suggest wearing netball trainers or trainers with good grip.

Please do not wear clothing with hoods

Gloves

No form of glove should normally be worn when playing Netball.

However, Netballnights recognises its responsibility for duty of care to all players playing Netball, particularly outside during the winter months.

In extreme weather or climatic conditions, or with a medical condition, gloves may be worn.

If for medical reasons gloves are required, then on production of an appropriate medical certificate/letter, we would allow gloves to be worn.

The player should ensure that the material worn does not endanger other player’s safety and the player must ensure that they have appropriate personal liability insurance.

Gloves should be thin and plain, soft leather or micro fibre (E.g. Neoprene) which are manufactured without seams (or with internally sewn seams) and have no abrasive materials including but not limited to zippers, Velcro, metallic or plastic fasteners.

Umpires are reminded that they still need to be satisfied that any gloves worn do not present an obvious hazard to other players including the rule which states “Fingernails must be kept short and smooth.”

Weather

Decisions will be made no later than 5pm by Netball Nights. Captains will be contacted and a message put out on the FB group if the night is cancelled.

Unless you hear from us, assume the matches are going ahead, please try to not contact us with weather reports, we are monitoring and speaking to multiple people and this can hinder that process.

Please note rain will not necessarily mean the night is cancelled, we play in the rain, players are asked to adjust to the court conditions, this means slowing down.

If the decision is made to play matches and the weather gets worse the umpires will decide at the start of the match as to whether it is safe for play to go on.

If it starts raining partway through a match, umpires will stop play if they feel it is getting dangerous.

Payments

Netball Nights operates a cashless service

All payments are made via our online system or direct transfer

Once a ‘Team Fee’ has been paid, there are no refunds to players whether injured or otherwise unavailable - You pay a portion of the team fee for the team to partake in the league.

Any refund would be at the discretion of the team and dealt with by the team.

It is not possible to pay weekly, we require payment in advance of each section of your netball journey with us

Discounts are applied 12.5% for each season, whilst you are in 2 or more leagues as a core member.

The 12.5% is based on your share of the team cost - An equal division amongst all registered players.

If you are a PAYG player for any team you are not entitled to any discount.

IMPORTANT: We abide by the England Netball Rules and Regulations and we will follow their guidance concerning anything that falls outside of what is stated in our information here.
